Position Details

• Role: Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
• Type: Consistent Casual, 35 hours/week
• Pay: $24.91 + 4% vacation pay/hour

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Principal, collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver high-quality, play-based education supporting cognitive, emotional, and social development for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students. Lead extended programs before and/or after school at designated elementary schools.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
• Minimum one year of child care experience
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification
• Immunization record with proof of MMR and Tdap, and declaration of chicken pox history or vaccine
• Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector within last 6 months (new employees) or last 5 years (current employees)
