Job summary

Westmount Dental Clinic in Sydney, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support dentists and hygienists, prepare rooms, take X-rays, and maintain infection control to ensure patient comfort and safety.

You will update patient charts, assist with scheduling, and help with administrative tasks while upholding privacy and professional standards. This is a full-time, on-site position with a collaborative team and modern technology.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Licensed as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines

About You
