Job summary

Uptown Dentistry in Saint John, NB, Canada is seeking a certified Dental Assistant to join our team. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, assisting dentists and hygienists, taking X-rays, and ensuring infection control.

You will also update patient records and support scheduling and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be registered or licensed as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body and may have prior dental assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety and regulatory guidelines.

About You:
