Demmings Dental Group in Fredericton, NB, is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, and take digital X-rays while upholding strict infection control standards and patient care excellence.

The role emphasizes collaboration, patient education, and efficient workflow within a modern dental practice. NDAEB certification is required, and provincial licensure is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant with provincial regulatory body
• NDAEB certification mandatory
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred

Responsabilités

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow privacy, safety and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Schedule:

• We are looking for Fridays 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM and one other day per week Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Your Role:

• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

About You:

• Registered as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• NDAEB Certification
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
