Job summary

Assiniboine Dental Group in Winnipeg, Manitoba is hiring a Full-time Dental Assistant. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take dental X-rays, and uphold infection control standards to ensure safe, efficient care.

You will also manage patient charts, educate patients on oral care, and support scheduling and administrative tasks. Ideal candidates are registered/certified and have prior dental assisting experience.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant with provincial regulatory body or association.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
