Job summary

EJC Dentistry in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and patients, ensuring a smooth, comfortable visit and high-quality care. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, taking X-rays, sterilization, patient education, and care coordination; registered/certified DA are required, new grads welcome, and a competitive total-rewards package is offered.

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Monday: 10:00am - 5:00pm

Tuesday: 10:00am - 7:00pm

Wednesday: 11:00am - 7:00pm

Thursday: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $24-$28/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
