Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide to join our Vancouver-area team. You will deliver in-home care and support, help with ADLs/IADLs, and partner with a health care team to enhance clients' quality of life.

Requirements include an HCA Certificate, BC Registry Number, current First Aid and CPR, a valid driver's license with own vehicle, and a criminal record check. We offer paid training, competitive pay, flexible start dates, and a friendly team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under the direction of the health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with ADLs and IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding and toileting.
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries and laundry.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients to appointments and outings.

As a Caregiveryou will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings

Our office serves seniors in Vancouver and surrounding communities, including Richmond, Vancouver. This position may require travel to those areas.
