Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide for the Vancouver area to join our growing team. You will assist with care, observation, and daily living activities under the health care team’s direction in clients’ homes.

Responsibilities include bathing, mobility support, meal prep, transportation, and maintaining a safe home environment. Must have HCA certificate/BC registry, First Aid/CPR, and clear background; driver’s license is a bonus.

Qualifications

• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number is a MUST.
• Current First Aid and CPR Training.
• Criminal Record Check.

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
