Family of Kidz seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a school-based role in Westchester County, NY. The position follows the school calendar and offers daytime hours.

You will collaborate with teachers, school staff, and therapists to support students with special needs. Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, documenting progress, and helping with daily living tasks while maintaining confidentiality and a safe learning environment.

Qualificações

• RBT experience is mandatory.
• Experience working with children/adolescents with special needs preferred.
• Understanding of school-based support and confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to the goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors, on an individualized basis, and in a professional manner.
• Work closely with school personnel to ensure the student’s success in the classroom.
• Collaborate with a behavior consultant or clinical supervisor to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
• Assist with classroom assignments under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Implement behavior support plans and data collection; progress reporting.
• Help with daily living tasks and transitions between locations.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information per regulations.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and uphold company values.

Details about this opportunity:

• Location: Westchester County, NY (school based)
• Hours: Hours vary based on school district (Ex: Mon - Fri 8am - 3pm) Daytime hours 25-32 hours per week
• Schedule: Follows the school district calendar, including holidays and breaks
• Compensation : $28-$31/hourly

Responsibilities:

• Respond to the goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors, on an individualized basis,and in a professional manner.
• Work closely with school personnel (e.g. classroom/ special teachers, TAs, school psychologist, social worker, behavior consultant, related service provider) to ensure the student’s success in the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with a behavior consultant and/or clinical supervisor to provide academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support to student with special needs
• Assist with classroom assignments under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Implementation of behavior support plans/ BIP’s or skill acquisition programs (data collection, progress reporting, CPI training and implementation)
• Help with daily living tasks, such as mobility, hygiene, and transitions.
• Assist the student with moving between classrooms and other school locations, including the cafeteria, bathroom, and therapy sessions
• Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding students in accordance with State and Federal regulations
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

And this background:

• Experience RBT mandatory
• Minimum of 6 months working with children or adolescents with special needs in a supervised setting
• Minimum of High School Diploma required
• Must have reliable transportation
• Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education or related field preferred
• Experience with students with autism and/or maladaptive behaviors preferred
• Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
• Bilingual is a plus
