Job Description

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently assisting a client in their search for a REGIONAL SALES MANAGER for a territory in South Central Ontario.

The Opportunity

An established North American provider of specialized municipal and public works equipment is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales across a key South Central Ontario territory. This field-based role owns the full sales cycle for a portfolio of specialized equipment used by municipalities and public works operations, with a mandate to grow market share and develop long-term customer relationships.

The successful candidate will combine outside sales experience, technical aptitude, and knowledge of municipal customers and procurement processes. This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established geographic territory while building new business across a highly specialized equipment market.

Who Will Succeed In This Role

Youre a self-directed, relationship-driven sales professional who is comfortable spending most of your time in the field. You understand how municipalities buy, can navigate public tenders and longer sales cycles, and are credible discussing equipment applications with public works and operational teams.

Experience selling heavy equipment, vocational trucks, municipal equipment, industrial equipment, or adjacent solutions will translate particularly well.

Why Consider This Opportunity

The role offers significant territory ownership, direct access to municipal decision-makers, and the opportunity to sell specialized, operationally critical equipment. Youll have the support of established parts, service, and technical teams while maintaining autonomy over how you develop your territory.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $100,000 guarantee for 1st year (salary + commission draw) after which compensation will be aligned with the Companys base salary + uncapped commission plan
  • Company-paid group benefits, including Health, Dental, Life, Disability, and Travel coverage
  • Vacation and paid personal days
  • Employer-matching retirement savings plan

What Youll Do
  • Own and manage sales activity throughout the assigned territory, with responsibility for delivering year-over-year growth and increasing market penetration.
  • Develop new business while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing municipal and public-sector accounts.
  • Sell specialized municipal and public works equipment directly to end users, recommending solutions based on specific operational requirements.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and needs assessment through demonstrations, proposals, procurement, closing, and post-sale relationship management.
  • Provide equipment demonstrations, product training, and technical guidance to customers and internal team members as required.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer applications across public works, road maintenance, environmental services, fleet operations, and related municipal functions.
  • Navigate municipal procurement processes, including public tenders and cooperative purchasing programs.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Parts, Service, and technical teams to ensure customers receive effective pre- and post-sale support.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and territory performance updates.
  • Monitor competitive activity, industry developments, customer requirements, and emerging equipment technologies.
  • Participate in relevant municipal association meetings and industry networking opportunities.
