Job summary

Aecon Concessions in Montreal is seeking a Manager of Operations (Quebec) to lead the financial and operational performance across designated regions. Reporting to the General Manager, you will steer budgeting, bidding, and strategic direction while ensuring safe, compliant project execution and strong client relationships.

The role requires proven P&L experience, revenue/margin focus, and the ability to mentor regional teams in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.

Qualifications

• College or University degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in Utility Contracting, Civil Construction, or Power/Electrical Infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, forecasting and financial performance of a business unit.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for financial and operational performance of assigned regions, including budgeting and profitability.
• Develop and execute bidding and pricing strategies to hit revenue and margin targets.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction aligned with corporate objectives.
• Monitor regional performance and report results, risks, workload and opportunities to senior leadership.
• Oversee project execution and resolve contractual, operational and legal issues.
• Lead, develop, and mentor management teams with succession planning.
• Approve expenditures, pricing, and purchases within delegated authority.
• Manage regional budgets and prepare monthly financial performance reports.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and unions.
• Lead contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and stakeholder communications.
