Job summary

Aecon Water seeks a passionate Project Manager to lead complex water and wastewater projects across Canada and the United States. You will drive planning, execution, and delivery in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on active projects.

The role requires travel to project sites, onsite work, a strong safety focus, and a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes while managing cost and schedule.

Qualifications

• 10 years of construction experience.
• Experience executing Water or Heavy Industrial projects is required.
• Ability and willingness to travel for work.
• Strong network of trades, subcontractors, suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for all project management activities, ensuring successful execution.
• Support proposal/estimating to deliver competitive, achievable submissions.
• Lead transition from estimating to project execution.
• Attract, build and mentor project teams.
• Promote a work environment employees want to be part of.
• Develop project goals to meet owner deliverables and align with Aecon initiatives.
• Prioritize safety above all else.
• Maintain effective project controls to meet milestones.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen to control costs and improve margins.
• Oversee procurement of subcontractors, major equipment and materials.
• Negotiate and execute contracts timely and cost-effectively.
• Manage stakeholder relations (Owner, Regulators, Subcontractors, Suppliers).
• Chair project management meetings for best outcomes.
