In accordance with the established vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of the organization, the Regional Lead, Research & Knowledge Translation, Long-Term Care (LTC) works in partnership across the organization to lead, cultivate, and facilitate a range of quality improvement, research, and knowledge translation activities, in the LTC sector, aligning with the BC Long-Term Care Quality Framework. The Lead is an advocate and active role model for scholarly practice, raising the profile and engagement of research, evidence-informed practice/decision-making, and knowledge translation in our geographic area. The Lead services the LTC sector in Northern Health (NH) broadly by supporting individuals and teams, within and across NH, through the provision of mentorship, guidance, support, and expertise in research and research-related activities and functions as an expert and liaison to the research community provincially and nationally. The incumbent is a member of a provincial team (the LTC-Quality initiative) working with colleagues in similar roles in other health regions. The Lead is responsible for supervising and managing research-related (funded and unfunded) activities; promoting collaborative partnerships; assisting in the development of policy, procedures, and guidelines; and working with other Health Authorities in BC to capitalize on province-wide research, quality and knowledge translation opportunities.

The salary range for this position is $90,770 (min) to $113,462 (midpoint) to $130,481 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE. Northern Health typically establishes salaries within the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.
