Job summary

Jarlette Health Services is seeking a Regional interRAI Manager for on-site leadership at our Midland, Ontario location. You will oversee the interRAI program across all Long-Term Care homes, focusing on data accuracy, education, and program development to improve resident outcomes and CMI results.

Reporting to the Director of Long-Term Care Operations, you will lead staff education, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with government legislation and policy.

Qualifications

  • Current certificate of competence for Nursing (RPN) in Ontario.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing.
  • Knowledge/experience with interRAI, RAI/MDS—training/certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee interRAI program across all Long-Term Care homes.
  • Lead data accuracy, education, and program development for the division.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maximize CMI while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide staff education on interRAI processes and PCC integration; travel as needed.

Regional interRAI Manager

Status: Permanent Full-Time

Location: On site at 658 King Street, Midland ON

Under the direction of the Director of Long-Term Care Operations, the Regional interRAI Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for the interRAI project, data support and accuracy and education for all homes in the Long-Term Care Division. The Regional interRAI Manager is responsible for the on-going management, development, evaluation and staff education of the interRAI Program in providing quality resident centered care with maximization of the Case Mix Index (CMI) results while maintaining the integrity of the strategic plan in such a manner that conforms to government legislation, company policy and the overall philosophy and mission of Jarlette Health Services. This position works in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary teams at all Homes. This position has knowledge, understanding and experience with interRAI in the following areas: Coding, CAPs, Care Planning using Point Click Care (PCC), RUG III Plus scoring, QI’s and CIHI mandatory reporting, and CMI.

The following traits and qualifications are required:
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a
  • Registered Practical Nurse
  • Certification in Gerontology and current membership with GNA and RPNAO is desirable.
  • Additional education in nursing, nursing administration and gerontology an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with RAI/MDS. RAI/MDS training and certification required
  • Minimum of three years' experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing
  • Demonstrates an understanding of current trends and concepts relative to professional nursing.
  • Knowledge and experience with adult education strategies/facilitation
  • Computer proficiency
  • Innovative resident-centered approach to programming
  • Professional competencies related to life-long learning, public relations, and health environmental awareness.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possession of strong motivation, team building, and time management skills.
  • Must possess valid Driver’s License, in good standing, and be willing to travel as required.
  • 2 years in this job to reach competency
  • Working knowledge of the Health and Safety Act, Fire Protection & Prevention Act, Fixing Long-Term Act and all associated regulations
