Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Regional Fleet Lead to manage maintenance, optimize fleet utilization, and lead a service team across Ontario. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and cost control within a dynamic project environment.

You will coordinate resources with project schedules, supervise the maintenance crew, and ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT-like requirements, while maintaining accurate inventories and asset history. A company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in vehicle fleet management.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team.
• Knowledge of emerging fleet management technologies and industry best practices.
• Good working knowledge of applicable federal, provincial, and state regulations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, including effective communication in person and by phone.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team to complete repairs and preventive servicing.
• Monitor fleet utilization and maintain accurate equipment inventories.
• Coordinate resources with project needs and oversee regional tooling activities.
• Audit daily pre-trip inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage logistics for moving vehicles and equipment between sites and yards.
• Oversee vendor performance and review pricing to maintain competitiveness.
