Job summary

A leading insurance firm in Ontario seeks a Regional Director for Sales & Distribution. This role focuses on managing and expanding partnerships within commercial brokerage and developing new business avenues. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the Commercial Lines Insurance Industry, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. This is a full-time position requiring regular travel throughout Southwestern Ontario.

Job Description

• This position will be accountable for managing, developing and expanding the partnerships with our current commercial brokerage partners.
• Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help us expand our distribution in BC.
• Develop and achieve specific company objectives and goals.
• Continually improve on a thorough understanding of the insurance market and stay up to date on industry trends and competitive intelligence.
• This position will report to Managing Director, and work closely with other team members.
• Promote and model our culture, values and brand promise – must love fuchsia!
• Other duties as required.
• Compensation to be determined, commensurate with experience.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Commercial Lines Insurance Industry.
• Good organizational and planning skills, including great time management.
• Confident in conducting round table meetings with effective presentation skills.
• Focused and goal-oriented.
• Strong professional communication, both written and verbal.
• Strong computer skills including high proficiency with MS office.

Preference given to applicants with Insurance Industry experience and /or education (CAIB, CIP or other relevant designations).
