Reporting to the Syneos Health National Business Director (NBD), the Regional Business Manager (RBM) is responsible for setting strategic and tactical direction aligned with the overall brand strategy for their area field sales team, including the execution and achievement of revenue goals. The RBM has two primary objectives: to execute launch milestones and to meet yearly sales performance targets within the Insomnia market. This includes hiring and training the sales team, and creating impactful area business & account plans to meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals. The RBM manages a team of Product Specialist Representatives (PSRs) and Specialist Representatives within an assigned district.
Essential Functions:
- Shape and execute the Brand Business Strategy through collaboration with Marketing, Medical, and Access teams, including co-creating regional plans and sharing insights.
- Lead, support, and coach the Field Sales team to execute strategies and develop integrated cross-functional business and customer engagement plans that surpass business targets, managing the regional budget and resources.
- Prioritize customer experience by understanding patient journeys and HCP needs, enabling effective cross-functional omnichannel implementation.
- Promote the use of available tools (omnichannel) to maximize impact.
- Make prioritization decisions through analytical rigor and agility in strategy adaptation.
- Represent the region at Quarterly Business Reviews, analyzing insights, challenging strategies, and managing action items.
- Communicate strategic direction clearly to team members and customers to foster engagement and commitment.
- Support organizational cultural aspirations through role modeling.
- Recruit, inspire, retain, and develop talent across the organization.
- Direct Sales Representatives in acquiring, expanding, and retaining targeted business within the territory.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and development to sales professionals.
- Translate national and regional strategies into district plans.
- Engage with key internal and external customers and accounts, developing strategies to grow product lines.
- Foster trust and a positive working environment, demonstrating key behaviors such as accountability, teamwork, empowerment, strategic thinking, and respect for diversity.
- Navigate ambiguous situations effectively, prioritizing and acting timely.
- Collaborate with other Regional Managers to share best practices and learn from experiences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, preferably in business or science.
- At least 2 years of first-line leadership experience in a virtual and field-based environment.
- Over 7 years of relevant life science sales experience.
- Successful experience in team leadership and product launches.
- Ability to manage complex portfolios and lead high-performing teams.
- Results-oriented, strategic, motivated, and positive attitude.
- Ability to analyze KPIs and develop focused action plans.
- Experience in Psychiatry, CNS, or Sleep Disorder areas preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally and nationally.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination required.
- Valid driver’s license and understanding of compliance and privacy laws.
- Residence within the territory or within designated boundaries.
