Team Profile:
The Finance Business Management organization is responsible for overall financial, workforce, and vendor management, as well as driving strategic change within Morgan Stanley's Finance division. The team manages multiyear workforce and vendor strategies, oversees budgeting and financial controls, supervises product and service portfolios, and spearheads transformation efforts. They initiate, execute, and actively monitor workforce-related transactions and vendor management actions in collaboration with vertical and horizontal stakeholders (Sourcing, Department heads, managers, HR, etc.). The team conducts comprehensive governance activities, maintains data hygiene of primary systems, and drives strategic initiatives.
What you’ll do in the role:
Provide analytical and process support to Department leadership and deliver excellent customer service through actionable solutions, enabling stakeholders to evaluate and make strategic decisions to drive success.
Financial management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, identify potential challenges, manage allocations, vendor demand, invoicing, accruals, apply Total Cost of Ownership principles, and manage lifecycle and optimization activities including T&E/training.
Portfolio management: Ensure programs and projects align with business targets and structure, reflecting how the work is delivered and meeting business and provider objectives.
Resource management: Manage workforce strategy execution, scenario planning, hire approvals, onboarding/offboarding, contingent worker compliance, space planning, staffing hygiene, and related activities.
Organizational governance: Support activities such as maintaining cost centers and department structures, preparing leadership presentations, and other related tasks.
What you’ll bring:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance and/or Business Management
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise interaction with internal and external partners
Strong relationship management skills to engage effectively with stakeholders
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong partnerships
Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-changing environment
