Job summary

SecondShop Inc. is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead our Regina transportation terminal, overseeing inbound/outbound LTL, final mile delivery, and warehousing operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in transportation, LTL, final mile, warehousing, logistics, or terminal operations.
• Minimum 2 years in leadership or supervisory roles in transportation or warehouse environments.
• Strong understanding of LTL freight movement and last-mile delivery execution.
• Experience managing drivers, owner operators, warehouse teams, dispatchers, and carriers is advantageous.
• Knowledge of transportation safety, freight handling, and warehouse best practices.
• Experience using TMS/WMS, route planning tools, dispatch platforms, and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day terminal operations including inbound/outbound LTL, final mile, warehouse, staging, storage, and inventory control.
• Coach and hold teams accountable to ensure execution of daily operating plans.
• Ensure deliveries, pickups, cross-dock activities, and movements meet service timelines.
• Monitor freight flow, route planning, dock activity, staffing, equipment usage, and warehouse capacity.
• Maintain communication with customers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues and meet service expectations.
• Drive KPIs such as on-time delivery, dock productivity, and cost per shipment.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety requirements, regulations, and customer handling standards.
• Investigate service failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Support cost-control by managing labor, overtime, facilities, and contractor performance.
