Job description

At SecondShop, we’re a team of Canadians who believe in doing better—for our country, your wallets, and our planet.

We started with a simple idea: why should perfectly good products go to waste or sit unsold when people like you are out there looking for smart ways to save? We have made it our mission to source the highest quality open-box, overstocked, and scratch-and-dent products from the top brands - offering them to Canadians at up to 50% off. But we are not just about savings-we’re about changing how people shop. Say goodbye to paying full price and hello to smarter spending.

  • Ensure all deliveries, pickups, cross-dock activity, and warehouse movements are completed safely, accurately, and within required service timelines.
  • Monitor freight flow, route planning, dock activity, staffing levels, equipment usage, and warehouse capacity to maximize productivity and reduce service failures.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, internal departments, carriers, brokers, and delivery partners to resolve issues and support service expectations.
  • Drive performance against key operational KPIs, including on-time delivery, missed deliveries, claims, dock productivity, scan compliance, POD completion, cost per shipment, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, health and safety requirements, transportation regulations, warehouse procedures, and customer-specific handling requirements.
  • Investigate service failures, freight damage, property damage, delivery escalations, and operational exceptions; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support cost control initiatives by managing labour, overtime, equipment, facility usage, contractor performance, and route efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe terminal environment that supports efficient freight handling and professional customer service.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify process improvements, staffing needs, training opportunities, and operational risks within the Regina terminal.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide clear direction, daily priorities, and performance expectations to all terminal employees and contractors.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, shift huddles, coaching conversations, and performance follow-ups.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and corrective action processes as required.
