Job summary

Flora Food Group in Brantford, Ontario is seeking a Refrigeration B Plant Operator to manage and maintain our refrigeration systems. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and requires oversight of plant utilities and compliance with TSSA standards.

The position supports a continental shift with day-to-night progression and weekend duties. A Refrigeration B ticket and 2-3 years of manufacturing experience are required. Strong mechanical skills and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration B ticket in good standing.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; food production preferred.
• Must be mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/monitor all refrigeration equipment to TSSA Standards.
• Oversee plant utilities maintenance and operations under the Chief Engineer.
• Coordinate with Contractual and Inspection Departments for requirements.
• Record operations and maintenance using the computerized system.
• Ensure safe and compliant working practices per Health and Safety and HACCP.
