Elk Valley Resources (EVR) in British Columbia is seeking a certified Welder for a full-time role on a 4x4 day/night schedule. The site location is Sparwood, BC, with relocation or commuting required.

You will repair and fabricate heavy mining equipment and structures, work with FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes, and collaborate with tradespeople to implement best practices. The role emphasizes safety, independent and team work, and delivering reliable maintenance services in an industrial

Qualifications

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Welder Certification is required.
• Experience in welding and fabricating site structures and heavy mining equipment.
• Ability to work in a 4x4 schedule of days and nights on site in Sparwood, BC.
• Relocation/commuting to Sparwood, BC is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and fabricate site structures and equipment in all mining areas.
• Grind, gouge and repair cracks in haul trucks, shovels, dozers and related equipment.
• Inspect mining equipment and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Use welding processes: FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to find innovative solutions.
