Job summary

1Click Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman Technician to support the Halifax, NS operation. This role focuses on residential service upgrades and heat pump electrification, with modern equipment and a commitment to quality installs rather than sales.

You’ll work a Monday-Thursday schedule, with overtime optional. Benefits include extended health and dental, paid training, a company vehicle, and a supportive team where your work is valued.

Qualifications

• Residential electrical experience is required.
• Red Seal certification recognized in NS is required.
• Valid driver’s license is essential.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail are needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and service residential electrical systems including service upgrades and new circuits.
• Diagnose electrical issues and perform safe, code‑compliant repairs.
• Wire panels, breakers, disconnects, and components for heat pumps and equipment.
• Remove or decommission outdated or unsafe electrical systems.
• Complete service documentation and communicate clearly with homeowners.
• Work safely in accordance with provincial electrical codes and manufacturer specs.

What You’ll Get

• $40-$46/hour, based on experience

What You’ll Be Doing

• Installing and servicing residential electrical systems, including service upgrades and new circuits
• Diagnosing electrical issues and completing safe, code-compliant repairs
• Wiring panels, breakers, disconnects, and electrical components for heat pumps and other equipment
• Removing and decommissioning outdated or unsafe electrical systems and components
• Completing service documentation and communicating clearly with homeowners
• Working safely and in accordance with provincial electrical codes and manufacturer specifications

Mentoring and supporting apprentices on electrical installations and safety best practices

What We’re Looking For

• Red Seal Electrical Technician (recognized in NS)
