Job summary

1Click Energy Solutions in Halifax, NS is seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman Technician for residential service upgrades and heat pump electrification. You will install, service, and upgrade electrical systems while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Strong troubleshooting and independence are valued. Valid driver’s license and NS Red Seal certification are required, with opportunities for paid training and long-term employment.

Qualifications

• Residential electrical experience is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Red Seal Electrical Technician (NS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Installing and servicing residential electrical systems, including service upgrades and new circuits.
• Diagnosing electrical issues and completing safe, code-compliant repairs.
• Wiring panels, breakers, disconnects, and electrical components for heat pumps and other equipment.
• Removing and decommissioning outdated or unsafe electrical systems and components.
• Completing service documentation and communicating clearly with homeowners.
• Working safely and in accordance with provincial electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
• Mentoring and supporting apprentices on electrical installations and safety best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing
