A Day in the Life of a Mechanic:

• Maintenance or repairs of diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks and heavy-duty equipment
• Using various power tools, hand instruments, and equipment
• Completing reports, work orders, and ordering parts
• Planning and scheduling repairs and procuring parts
• Reviewing mechanical write-ups and coordinating repair schedules

What’s Required:

Mechanics must have:

• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma preferred
• 1+ year experience as a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Criteria for safety-sensitive functions per Company standards
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records
• Willingness to operate necessary vehicles or equipment
• Physical ability to push, pull, bend, and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Fine motor skills and dexterity
• Ability to kneel, crawl, and climb
