About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic at Brucejack Mine, you will assist in the daily inspection, servicing, and repair of mobile heavy duty equipment and transport trucks. You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Your work supports the reliability of critical mining equipment and upholds Newmont’s commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
Minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining diesel and gasoline-powered mobile/stationary equipment
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience working with underground mining equipment is an asset
Snow cat and off-road vehicle maintenance experience is an asset
Strong safety record and mechanical aptitude
Proficient with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, data entry systems)
Valid driver’s license and certifications in WHMIS and TDG
Location: Brucejack Mine (remote camp, fly-in/fly-out)
Rotation: 13 days on / 13 days off, with 2 travel days
Conditions: Extreme weather, confined workspaces, and heavy equipment exposure
Requirements: Pre-employment medical screening, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, 12-hour shifts, full PPE compliance

The expected salary range for this role is CA$61.20. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
