Job summary

Kal Tire in Prince Albert, SK is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles in a safe, well-equipped shop.

This full-time role includes mentoring apprentices, a clear path to Lead Technician, starting wage of $40 per hour, and a $5,000 recruitment and retention bonus, plus extended benefits and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Min 3 years hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks and wheel alignments.
• Experience in inspections, diagnostics, servicing and repairs on various vehicles.
• Attention to detail and methodical problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices, supporting skill development.
• Collaborate with a team on vehicles from passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify service opportunities in partnership with Sales team.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards in all tasks.

Qualifications:

• Fully licensed as an Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified).
• A valid driver’s license.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
