Job summary

Dexter Construction Company Limited seeks a dedicated Lead Hand at our Materials Recycling Facility to supervise daily operations and drive safety, quality and productivity. Qualifications

• 1+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial or processing facility.
• Strong understanding of operations, safety protocols, and production flow.
• Proven leadership and ability to build effective teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with shift coordination and hands-on supervision.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, reporting systems).
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations to ensure safe and efficient processing of materials.
• Lead and support staff in the facility.
• Monitor material flow, equipment performance, and quality control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental standards and policies.
• Schedule workforce, shift planning, task assignments, and break coverage.
• Conduct daily safety and operations briefings and drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production, staffing, or equipment issues promptly.
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment is serviced and operational.
• Collaborate with management to optimize throughput and minimize downtime.
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing employees.
• Complete daily logs, shift reports and incident reports as required.
• Participate in audits, inspections and emergency response when needed.
