Job summary

Cambrian College's Liaison/Student Recruitment Office seeks a Recruitment Ambassador on a casual on-call basis up to 24 hours per week. Responsibilities include handling incoming calls, directing inquiries, transferring calls, and learning current college information to assist callers.

Qualified candidates will have at least a two-year postsecondary diploma, one year of customer service experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a two-year postsecondary diploma or degree.
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience with a strong focus on customer service.
• Self-directed individual able to balance multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and excellent customer service.
• Ability to work with a team, including teammates not at the same location.
• Effective communication, good judgment, and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Cambrian College’s Liaison/Student Recruitment Office has an immediate requirement for a Recruitment Ambassador, on a casual “on-call” basis, up to 24 hours per week.

• Responding to incoming calls promptly and professionally, providing information or directing the caller to the appropriate department or individual.
• Transferring calls to the appropriate extensions or departments within the college according to the nature of the inquiry or request.
• Ability to learn and dispense current information about Cambrian College (such as its location, operating hours, academic programs, and campus events).
• Operating communication programs and related communication systems efficiently.

Required:

• Must have a minimum of a two-year postsecondary diploma or degree. ( A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application).
• Minimum of one-year of relevant work experience with a strong focus on customer service.
• Self-directed individual with the ability to balance multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, keen attention to detail, and excellence in customer service.
• Ability to work with a team; especially with team members who may not be at the same location.
• Effective communication skills, good judgment, the ability to problem solve.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Commitment to working within a team environment.
