David Aplin Recruiting in Edmonton is seeking a talented Recruiter for our Accounting & Finance team. You’ll build relationships with accounting and finance professionals and connect them to opportunities with our clients.

You’ll source candidates, conduct interviews, coordinate processes, negotiate offers, and foster long-term relationships. The role offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commissions and a collaborative, growth-focused team across North America.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years in Accounting & Finance recruitment or sales.
• Knowledge of the Accounting & Finance industry, including CPAs.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Strong work ethic with a high sense of urgency and accountability.
• Competitive and results-driven with earning potential.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified accounting and finance professionals for contract and permanent roles.
• Proactively source candidates through networking, referrals, social media, cold outreach, and direct recruiting.
• Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidates’ experience, skills, career goals, and overall fit for client opportunities.
• Coordinate interviews, manage feedback, and guide candidates through the hiring process.
• Collaborate closely with Account Managers to understand client needs and deliver exceptional talent on searches
• Negotiate offers, facilitate placements, and help close successful hires across contract and permanent positions.
• Develop trusted, long-term relationships with candidates while staying informed on industry trends.
• Manage placed contractors throughout their assignments to ensure a positive experience for both clients and candidates.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an ambitious professional who is excited to build a successful career in Accounting & Finance recruitment. The ideal candidate brings experience in recruiting or sales, understands the accounting and finance market, and is motivated by building relationships and delivering results.

• 1–5 years of experience in Accounting & Finance recruitment, ideally within an agency environment, and/or a strong background in sales or customer service.
• Knowledge of the Accounting & Finance industry, including experience recruiting CPAs and other accounting and finance professionals.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Strong work ethic with a high sense of urgency and accountability.
• Competitive and results-driven, with the motivation to build a successful desk and grow your earning potential.

• On-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $80,000 in your first year, with significantly higher earning potential as you build your desk.
