Job summary

The Town of Banff invites applications for a Recreation Program Leader to oversee and deliver K-4 after-school and youth recreation programs, as well as community events and drop-in activities. You will plan meaningful activities, develop lesson plans, and ensure participants are engaged in a fun, safe environment.

Collaboration with families, staff, and volunteers is essential, with emphasis on safety checks and program quality.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and facilitate K-4 recreation programs in various settings for all ages, focusing on physical literacy, life skills and social connectedness.
• Ensure safety and supervision of participants and complete safety checks in the program space.
• Develop lesson plans and engage participants to ensure they are fully engaged and having fun in a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, volunteers, parents and supervisors via e-mail, telephone or in person.
