Job summary

The City of Red Deer is hiring a Facility Program Assistant - Childminding to support preschool, childminding, and early years programs. You will help with activity setup, participant engagement, basic care routines, and day-to-day tasks to ensure a welcoming, safe environment for children and families.

The role requires Grade 10 or equivalent, Early Childhood Level I Certification, strong customer service, and solid communication.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Early Childhood Level I Certification.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Demonstrated high level of verbal, written, and listening skills.
• Intermediate First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist recreation programs by supporting participants, staff and instructors and handling setup/teardown.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and verify registrations.
• Keep the facility safe by monitoring areas and managing crowd flow.
• Help maintain cleanliness and report safety issues to staff.
• Follow health and safety policies and participate in required training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by a supervisor.
