The City of Red Deer is seeking a Facility Operations Assistant to provide a clean, safe, and efficiently run environment for recreation facilities. You will supervise users, perform maintenance tasks, and help deliver excellent customer service in a community-focused municipal setting.

Ideal candidates will have a Grade 10 education, at least six months in a recreation role, first aid certification, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends. A Criminal Records Check is required.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education.
• Six months related experience, preferably in a recreation environment.
• Certification in Intermediate First aid.
• Criminal Records Check completed by the City upon employment.
• Ability to work weekends, weekdays, evenings and shift work hours.
• Experience with various sporting activities in each facility.
• Clear communication in English, respectful and professional with staff and public.
• Firm, assertive demeanor and sound judgment under pressure.
• Ability to work independently within a team setting.
• Able to manage multiple tasks with time management and prioritization.
• Physical capability to work in diverse environments and emergency situations.

Responsabilités

• Facility Operation & Maintenance – keep recreation facilities and surrounding areas clean and operational.
• Communication & Customer Service – monitor schedules and assist facility users.
• Risk Management, Safety & Security – ensure safety of patrons, report issues, assist in emergencies.
