Receptionist

Residential Real Estate

Full-Time, Permanent

Edmonton, Alberta


Our client, an established family-owned property management company with offices across Western Canada, is looking for a Receptionist to join their Edmonton office in a full-time capacity. You will be reporting to the Office Manager and working with a close-knit team. This role requires excellent organization, communication skills, and an outgoing, customer service-focused personality. You must be comfortable handling a high volume of inbound calls for tenants, contractors, vendors, etc. This is a full-time, in-office position Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. After successful completion of the probationary period, you will be allocated 1-day WFH.

Receptionist Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Distributing office mail, e-bills, and couriers; Taking out mail at the end of the day
  2. Directing phone calls
  3. Greeting visitors and notifying relevant staff members
  4. Ordering office supplies
  5. Invoice and cheque management including mailing out cheques and monthly shredding
  6. Retrieving boxes from storage
  7. Filing, organizing, and saving documents, cheques, and bank requisitions
  8. Coordinating year-end boxing of files, transportation of files
  9. Assisting internal departments with ad hoc duties, including Accounting, Lease Preparation, and Marketing
  10. Ensuring property listings are up to date
  11. Responding to online ads as needed
  12. Meeting room and kitchen maintenance
Receptionist Qualifications:
  1. 2-3 years of receptionist/administration experience is required. Experience working in the real estate industry is a strong asset.
  2. Minimum High School Diploma
  3. An outgoing and friendly demeanor is highly valued.
  4. Strong Communication Skills & good command of the English Language (Written and Verbal)
  5. Ability to follow direction easily and work independently.
  6. Attention to detail
  7. The ability to complete tasks as assigned in a timely fashion.
  8. Computer skills; Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Office, Teams, and SharePoint is an asset.
  9. Working knowledge of office equipment such as photocopiers and scanners.
  10. Must be a Canadian Citizen and/or eligible to work in Canada and must already have residency in AB established.
Receptionist Compensation:

The successful candidate will receive an annual base salary between $45,000-$50,000 dependent on experience. You will also be eligible for participation in the company benefits plan.
