Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a Receiving Coordinator to oversee all inventory control and branch administration at our Calgary location. You will ensure inventory integrity, manage purchases and reporting, and support delivery and warehouse operations.

Ideal candidates have a post-secondary business education, at least three years in wholesale distribution, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office.

  • Post-secondary education in Business or related field.
  • Minimum of three years' wholesale distribution experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all Inventory Control functions at the branch.
  • Manages administrative requirements and communications at the branch.
  • Oversees warehouse and delivery functions and safety compliance.
  • Backs up Branch Manager as needed.

This will include:Overall inventory integrity,Identification and management of non-productive inventory,Control and management of independent branch purchasesCompletion of mandatory reporting documents (Cycle counts, Negative on-hands, PO reports, P-Status, etc.Responsible for the management of all administrative requirements at the branch. This will include:Phone and reception servicesCustomer and vendor invoicing, credits and returns,AS400 Customer File maintenanceSystem and I.T. issuesHuman resources issues (scheduling, orienting, training, payroll)Facility maintenance and security issuesMaintenance and repairs for equipment and machineryBranch Reporting requirementsOversees the branch Warehouse and delivery functions:Optimization and maintenance of branch delivery fleetStocking and receiving methods conform with established standardsPicking fill rates and accuracies are maintainedEnsures that a safe and healthy work environment is maintained by enforcing company safety and health policies and procedures.May assist, and act in a backup capacity, to the Branch Manager as required.What you will bring:Post Secondary education in Business or related field, plus a minimum of three(3) years work experience in a similar role, preferably in the wholesale distribution industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience;Knowledge of business and management principles and techniques with an in depth understanding of the Company’s operational system and the issues that exist in the wholesale distribution industry;Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.Consistently meeting deadlines within a fast paced work environment and works effectively within time constraints;Extreme attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment;Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team based environment;Highly organized in prioritizing work and multi-tasking;Working knowledge of MS Office applications is required;Forklift certified or ability to be certifiedFirst Aid, WHMIS, & TDG certification would be an assetAble to lift a minimum of fifty (50lbs) poundsEach resume submitted gets individually reviewed by our team and retained for 24 months if other new and exciting opportunities arise that match your skills and qualifications.Please note: This position requires the result of a satisfactory criminal record check.
