Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily distribution activities and ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment. The role focuses on managing staff, coordinating workloads, and maintaining safe, efficient warehouse operations.

The position requires 2–5 years in distribution/warehouse, strong organizational and leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Calgary area on-site role with full benefits.

Acts as a functional leader.Administers workflow and prepares work schedules of team members in such a way that workflow meets customer service standards.Assisting with dispatching for the day shift supervisor by routing and inputting loads.Uses appropriate means to optimize the efficiency of the receiving docks and the space available.Optimize the space and the productivity in field of responsibility in the warehouse.Responsible for the proper maintenance and usage of equipment and machinery. Notifies Warehouse Manager of anticipated repairs or concerns.Trains employees on proper processes and sub-processes as notified by the Distribution / Warehouse Manager. Trains on specific tasks such as proper equipment usage, material handling and maintenance. Determines positions to be rotated and considered for training and encourages cross training between all team members.Provides coaching and supervision. Reports the ongoing performance of team members; identifies superior performers with development potential and notifies the Warehouse Manager of it.See to the application of safety standards.Ensures all team members achieve proper housekeeping within area of responsibility.
