Garaventa Lift Group is seeking a Receiving Clerk to ensure accurate and timely receiving of incoming materials and smooth dock operations. You will verify documentation, perform ERP transactions, and coordinate material movement to the correct destination.

In this role you will support in-transit receiving, resolve discrepancies with Quality and Purchasing, and participate in inventory control activities to maintain accurate records and organization at the receiving dock.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in receiving warehousing, inventory control, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience reading purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping/receiving documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize urgent material while managing multiple incoming shipments.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP transactions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Purchasing, Quality, Production, Stores, and Shipping.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and elevate issues to the appropriate department.
• Basic understanding of inventory transactions, warehouse locations, and material transfers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and process all incoming shipments in a timely manner, with dock receipts treated as the highest priority.
• Verify packing slips, purchase orders, part numbers, descriptions, and quantities against the physical material received.
• Inspect boxes, skids, and packages as required to ensure the physical contents match the documentation.
• Accurately complete receiving transactions in the ERP/system.
• Coordinate movement of received material to the appropriate warehouse, department, or production area.
• Maintain an organized receiving area and ensure material does not accumulate or create dock congestion.
• Process in-transit purchase orders provided by Purchasing on the same day.
• Ensure material is received into the correct in-transit warehouse based on Purchasing instructions.
• Maintain timely processing of China, Mexico, Handicare, Stopers, and other applicable in-transit inventory.
• Thoroughly verify incoming material against supplier documentation.
• Separate material according to its intended destination, including production and Parts Department requirements.
• Prioritize urgent production material and coordinate timely delivery to the production line.
• Complete inventory transfers from in-transit locations to the appropriate production, Parts, or warehouse location.
• Escalate physical material discrepancies, including incorrect parts, descriptions, or quantities, to Quality.
• Work with Purchasing when there are missing POs, missing PO lines, or other documentation/system issues preventing receipt.
• Ensure discrepancies are resolved before material is moved forward when required.
• Support periodic cycle counts when daily receiving activities are under control.
• Verify physical inventory locations against rack labels and system locations.
• Report and assist in resolving inventory or location discrepancies.
• Maintain proper documentation and approvals for Maintenance, Purchasing, and other applicable receipts.
• Coordinate with forklift drivers for unloading and movement of larger materials.
• Provide occasional support to Shipping or Stores when required, while ensuring Receiving remains the primary responsibility.
• Maintain accurate receiving transactions and inventory records.
• Complete priority and in-transit receiving on time.
• Minimize receiving errors and unresolved discrepancies.
• Keep the receiving dock organized and free of unnecessary backlog.
• Ensure urgent production materials move quickly from receiving to their required destination.
• Escalate Quality and PO-related issues promptly to avoid delays.
