Job summary

Fraser-Valley-Building-Supplies-1 is seeking a detail-oriented Receiver to help keep inventory accurate and shelves stocked. You will verify inbound shipments, handle documentation, and ensure smooth flow from loading dock to store floor.

Role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lift 25–50 pounds. Forklift certification is needed within 3 months. Prior retail receiving experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent listening and communication abilities.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset when documentation is missing or discrepancies occur.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 25–50 pounds.
• Forklift certification required within the first 3 months; prior forklift or power jack experience is a plus.
• Prior retail and receiving experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive all inbound product and verify against packing slips.
• Sort, unpack, and move inventory from receiving to store shelves.
• Coordinate with freight team and vendor docs to ensure smooth flow.
• Complete receiving paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain communication with Accounts Payable for paperwork processing.
