Job summary

RONA in Charlottetown, PEI seeks a Receiving and Handling team member to ensure smooth, accurate product flow from deliveries to store shelves. You will sort, unpack, and transport goods using a forklift, helping keep inventory organized and shelves stocked.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift/power equipment (lifts, order pickers, etc.).
• Experience in warehouse inventory handling and stocking.
• Experience in a retail environment with inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and maintain inventory flow to store shelves.
• Schedule deliveries and ensure space for incoming product.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory received and complete paperwork.
• Enter orders into the computer systems.
• Price changes and product displays.
• Locate and relocate merchandise.
• Conduct inventory counts.
• Perform other tasks to keep store running smoothly.

Become a key member of our Receiving and Handling team! Turn every incoming delivery into a success by ensuring smooth and accurate product flow. Your attention to detail will make all the difference.

Your role:

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain flow of inventory to store shelves (sort and unpack product, operate forklift to transport product to appropriate areas)
• Schedule deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and ensure space is available for incoming product
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory receivedComplete paperwork with attention to accuracy
• Computer entry of orders receptions
• Price change and display
• Locate and relocate the merchandise
• Inventory count
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly

What we're looking for:

• Experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment
• Experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking
• Experience in a retail environment dealing with inventory handling and stocking
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds daily without assistance
• Ability to understand and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
• Ability to perform under difficult work conditions such as in extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, heights, or while being exposed to constant/intermittent sounds (if applicable)
