Job summary

RONA is seeking a Receiving and Handling teammate to turn every incoming delivery into smooth, accurate product flow. You will maintain inventory movement, sort and unpack, and ensure proper storage to support store operations.

Ideal candidates have forklift/power equipment experience and can lift up to 40 pounds daily, with comfort in a fast-paced retail environment and extreme conditions typical of warehousing.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
• Experience in warehouse inventory handling and stocking.
• Experience in a retail environment dealing with inventory handling and stocking.

Responsibilities

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain inventory flow to store shelves.
• Schedule deliveries and shipments; authorize unscheduled deliveries and ensure space.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received; complete paperwork accurately.

Become a key member of our Receiving and Handling team! Turn every incoming delivery into a success by ensuring smooth and accurate product flow. Your attention to detail will make all the difference.

Your role:

• Receive all product deliveries and maintain flow of inventory to store shelves (sort and unpack product, operate forklift to transport product to appropriate areas)
• Schedule deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and ensure space is available for incoming product
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received
• Complete paperwork with attention to accuracy
• Computer entry of orders receptions
• Price change and display
• Locate and relocate the merchandise
• Inventory count
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly

What we're looking for:

• Experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment
• Experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking
• Experience in a retail environment dealing with inventory handling and stocking
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds daily without assistance
• Ability to understand and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
• Ability to perform under difficult work conditions such as in extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, heights, or while being exposed to constant/intermittent sounds (if applicable)
