Job summary

IMCO, located in Toronto, is seeking a Real Estate Analyst within the Investments team to support portfolio management and reporting. The role focuses on analysis, asset monitoring, and research to enhance risk-adjusted returns across Canadian properties.

The position offers a fixed-term contract ending December 2027, with a hybrid work model at our downtown Toronto office. Ideal for candidates with 1–2 years in real estate investing and strong financial modeling skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business or related discipline.
• CFA/AACI designation or candidacy is an asset.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in real estate investing or investment banking preferred.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving and researching skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop, generate, and collate analysis for investment and portfolio management, and to satisfy board and client reporting requirements.
• Support the ongoing development and enhancement of departmental applications, including report creation, systems review and implementations and process enhancements using AI.
• Ensure information in portfolio management applications and files is current, accurate, and readily accessible.
• Support asset monitoring throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Apply investment management knowledge to support the Real Estate team through research and analysis that informs strategies to improve the portfolio’s risk-return profile.
• Conduct research and analysis on a broad range of topics to support investment decision-making across the Real Estate asset class.
• Assist the Real Estate team in the due diligence process and preparation of investment reports and presentation materials.
• Apply sound investment and Real Estate specific knowledge and experience to build and analyze complex financial models.
