Job summary

Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) in Toronto is seeking a junior team member to support key investment data applications. You will verify and maintain data, collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate, timely data delivery for investment professionals across the firm.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in finance, experience with Eagle STAR/NEXEN, PACE, BarraOne or Bloomberg, and strong SQL/VBA and data quality acumen.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training in Business, Finance or CS with 1–3 years investment experience.
• Experience with Eagle STAR/NEXEN, Eagle PACE, BarraOne or Bloomberg is required.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL; VBA or similar programming languages preferred.
• Strong communication and data quality discipline.
• Familiarity with risk or performance processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve ad-hoc data issues across accounting, risk, and market data.
• Escalate data and content integrity issues and communicate openly with data consumers.
• Operate production data processes to ensure data integrity within a control framework.
• Monitor data quality and ensure data is fit for consumption by stakeholders.
• Maintain metadata and documentation of production data flows.
• Build relationships with external vendors and manage data delivery changes.
