Job summary

CPP Investments, based in Toronto, is recruiting a Senior Associate for the Real Assets Strategy Group. You will develop portfolio analytics, conduct thematic and macro research, and translate insights into actionable investment actions that influence capital allocation.

You’ll work with AI-enabled workflows and present to senior management. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in strategy or investing, a quantitative degree, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant work experience in strategy consulting or investing.
• University degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics or related quantitative discipline.
• Direct investment experience is preferred but not essential.
• Clear and proven communication and presentation skills.
• Strong quantitative, research, financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to leverage generative AI, machine learning or advanced analytical tools.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail; ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
• Self-motivated and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop portfolio-level analytics, relative-value insights and investment strategies.
• Conduct rigorous thematic research on macro trends affecting Real Assets.
• Build, enhance and maintain financial and portfolio models for analysis.
• Synthesize research into clear, decision-useful insights.
• Support portfolio actions arising from thematic and relative-value work.
• Apply AI and emerging analytical tools to improve research and decision-making.
• Prepare high-quality presentations for senior management and boards.
• Manage workstreams with multiple stakeholders and clear project plans.
