Forum Asset Management is seeking an Associate, Corporate Development to originate, structure and manage investments alongside senior team members in Toronto. You will build complex financial models, lead diligence workstreams, and help shape recommendations for the Investment Committee.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business/Commerce or related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in transactional environments (-investment banking, VC, project development, or corporate development).
• CFA/CPA/CA designation considered an asset.
• Proven track record of outstanding academic and professional performance.

Responsibilities

• Grow Forum's corporate development platforms, including emerging verticals like self-storage.
• Support deal teams in generating, evaluating, structuring and executing investments.
• Build and maintain complex financial models to support investment evaluation and performance.
• Conduct valuation analyses (comparable company, precedent transactions, DCF).
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and internal reports for Investment Committee.
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, including updates and valuations.
• Build relationships with management teams, partners, lenders and consultants.
• Conduct thorough due diligence across financial, operational, legal and market dimensions.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to diligence and reporting workflows.
• Liaise with portfolio management and support business development initiatives.
