Job summary

Tomlinson Group of Companies is seeking a Ready Mix Driver - West for our Stittsville and Moodie locations. You will ensure loads are delivered safely and on schedule while maintaining the mixer and vehicle.

The role requires AZ or DZ licensing, a clean driving record, and flexibility to work varied hours including weekends. Responsibilities include truck maintenance, load integrity, dispatch communication, and customer service to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold an AZ or DZ Driver’s License.
• Flexible schedule with varied start times including weekends.
• Clean driving abstract.
• Must be able to work at Moodie Drive Plant on occasion.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and inspect truck for safe use, checking fluid levels and air pressure.
• Inspect and maintain concrete loads, ensure mixer operates correctly and is cleaned afterward.
• Deliver concrete according to schedule and communicate with dispatch.
• Communicate effectively to ensure client needs are met.

Ready Mix Driver - West

Tomlinson Ready Mix is currently seeking licensed drivers for our Stittsville and Moodie locations. The successful individuals will ensure that loads are delivered in a safe and timely manner.

Location: Stittsville and Moodie

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and inspect truck to ensure safe use, checking fluid levels and air pressure.
• Inspect and maintain concrete loads, ensuring mixer is operating correctly and cleaned afterwards.
• Deliver concrete according to schedule and communicate with dispatch.
• Clear and effective communication to ensure clients needs are met

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid AZ or DZ Driver’s License
• Flexible work schedule with a variation of a scheduled start times
• Clean drivers abstract
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours (including Saturdays and evenings
• Must have the ability to work out of our Moodie Drive Plant on occasion as well
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Working outside in all weather elements.
• Coming in contact with concrete and cement dust.
• Frequently climbing up and down from the truck.
• Occasionally assisting with sweeping concrete down the chute.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
