Job summary

Amrize Canada Inc. in Ontario is seeking qualified Ready Mix Drivers to join our delivery team serving Arthur and surrounding areas. This role offers an hourly wage of 30.50 per hour under the collective agreement and requires valid AZ or DZ licenses with Air Brake.

You will operate late-model, well-maintained trucks, perform safety checks, maintain logs, and build strong relationships with customers while upholding Amrize's safety standards and Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid Class AZ or DZ with Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Technical: Experience operating manual transmissions.
• Reliability: Clean driving record and safety-focused.
• Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Flexibility: Monday–Friday with Saturdays/evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to projects in Arthur and surrounding areas.
• Operate Class AZ or DZ trucks with attention to safety inspections.
• Maintain delivery logs and complete project paperwork.
• Represent Amrize professionally on-site and with customers.

About The Role

We are looking for dedicated Class AZ or DZ drivers to join our team and be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of concrete to various job sites in and around Arthur Ontario & surrounding area. What You’ll Accomplish

• Safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to the region’s most iconic infrastructure and residential projects.
• Operate late-model, well-maintained Class AZ or DZ trucks (Mainly automatic transmission), performing meticulous pre/post-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is road-ready.
• Act as a professional brand ambassador on-site, fostering strong relationships with our diverse customer base.
• Champion a "Zero Harm" culture by adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Take advantage of internal promotion opportunities and professional development within our global network.
• Perform daily inspections of assigned ready-mix trucks and document findings.
• Load and unload concrete according to strict safety procedures and customer mix specifications.
• Maintain digital/manual delivery logs and complete all necessary project paperwork.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

What We’re Looking For

• Licensing: Valid Class AZ or DZ Driver’s License with an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Technical Skill: Proven experience operating manual transmissions.
• Experience: Previous experience in construction delivery or heavy vehicle operation is an asset. Training is provided for those new to the industry.
• Reliability: A clean driving record (CVOR/Abstract) and a rock-solid commitment to safety.
• Physical Readiness: Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including climbing truck ladders and lifting chutes (up to 50 pounds).
• Flexibility: Availability for Monday to Friday shifts, with Saturdays and evenings as required.

Additional Requirements

• Must meet requirements for distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Comfortable working in various outdoor weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
