Job summary

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) is seeking a Readiness Coordinator to join our team, reporting to the Readiness Director and supporting delivery and handover of advanced project scopes.

You will develop STC-specific closeout and handover programs, coordinate with client and third‑party stakeholders, design teams, and construction crews; manage risks, cost reports, and schedule deviations to keep the project on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Engineering/tech qualification required.
  • 3+ years of construction experience is preferred.
  • Experience with TTC would be an asset.

  • Reporting directly to the Readiness Director, supporting all aspects of delivery and handover of advanced project scopes.
  • Develop STC specific closeout and handover program working directly with the client and third‑party stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Client on the status/progress of works, manage risks, explain methodologies, and stakeholder management.
  • Coordinate with the design team as it relates to planning and to execute of closeout and phase completion.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and construction team to support closeout and handover.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for agreements, permits, approvals, and to obtain additional information.
  • Ensure cost reports, inventory, and quantity tracking meet specifications.
  • Understand, communicate, and enforce the contract documents and RFI’s when discrepancies occur.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities on the project.
  • Monitor cost and schedule and correct deviations to keep the project on time and within budget.

Position Title: Readiness Coordinator

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd. that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rail and Systems (SSE‑SRS) package. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.

As part of this project, we are currently looking for a Readiness Coordinator to join our team.

Experience You Will Bring
  • Engineering / Engineering Technologist / Construction Technology Diploma, Degree, or Post‑grad Certificate required.
  • 3+ years of construction experience; multi‑disciplinary, large‑scale projects would be an asset.
  • Experience working with TTC would be an asset
  • Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
  • Sound computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written.
  • Self‑motivated with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with others as a team.

Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000 annually. The listed salary range reflects potential base pay and considers factors such as experience, education, and training. Each candidate is evaluated individually and offers toward the higher end may be extended to those with exceptional qualifications.
