Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant at Saxon Manor Care Home in Godmanchester. You will support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a warm, respectful environment.

The role requires NVQ 3 or equivalent, 2 years’ experience in a similar care setting, and strong communication skills. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required; DBS cost is covered by Avery.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to

support

and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,

supportive

inclusive

environment for residents, visitors and staff

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
