Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking a Nursery Room Leader for the Baby Room. You will guide practice on the floor, support your team, and ensure high-quality care for babies during their earliest stages of development.

The role requires a Full-time, permanent contract with a Level 3 Early Years qualification and experience leading a nursery room. Salary is £14.50 per hour, with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is required.
• Experience leading a nursery room or deputising.
• Experience working with babies and strong EYFS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily running of the Baby Room.
• Oversee care routines including feeding, sleeping, and nappy changes.
• Plan and implement sensory-based activities aligned with EYFS.
• Monitor observations and early development milestones.
• Supervise and support practitioners within the room.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and ratio compliance.
• Build professional relationships with parents regarding routines and progress.

The Baby Room is a bright, thoughtfully designed space where sensory play, early communication, and close connection shape each day. From first steps to first words, you’ll lead a team that creates meaningful experiences for babies during their earliest stages of development. As Nursery Room Leader, you’ll guide practice on the floor, support your team, and ensure every child receives attentive, high-quality care.

Before You Apply

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is required.
• You must have experience leading or deputising within a nursery room.
• This role is not suitable for practitioners without senior room responsibility.

What You’ll Need
