Job summary

Home Group is looking for a compassionate care assistant to join a kind team providing 24-hour support to customers with varying needs, including personal care. You will work with the care team to follow plans and ensure reporting of any concerns, helping customers with daily living activities such as bathing and dressing.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or higher in social care or be willing to work towards it.
• Experience in care settings (CQC) is advantageous.

We support our customers with range of support needs which may include frailty and dementia, we help them regain or maintain their independence and ‘live well’ in their own homes. Some of our customers have more complex support needs and may require personal care, including bathing, toileting and getting dressed.

What You’ll Do

• We provide 24-hour support to our customers
• Working closely with the care team to follow support plans and reporting any concerns.
• Supporting our customers with everyday daily living activities
• You’ll have plenty of time for cuppas, chats and catch ups, there’s no rushing from one customer to the next here!

You have

• Level 2 or above, or equivalent in social care or being willing to work towards this
• If you’ve worked in a CQC care setting previously, that would be great!
• Have a positive, caring can-do attitude, and empathy to really make a difference to our customers lives.
• Previous experience of working with support plans, recording and using information concisely and effectively.
• Knowledge of local community and networks would be brilliant.

The practical bits

• Day shifts working across a 2 week rolling rota (11.5 hour shifts)
• Week 1: Mon/Tue/Sat/Sun - Week 2: Wed/Thu/Fri
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans.
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
